Indoor Gardening – Bringing the Outside In
Horticulture therapy (or gardening with a therapeutic intention) has been shown to reduce agitation, depression and falls in people with dementia.
As support workers, we have the privilege of witnessing the incredible story of Humanity, kindness, care and support every day.
David’s story which he kindly shared with InPlace Care is one of those…
David, whose mother lives in Caulfield, was caught out when the COVID lockdown started in April as his mother’s carers went away overnight. David registered his mother’s needs on our platform and now has 3 InPlace Care carers routinely looking after his mother.
David’s comment to us sums it up:
“All the carers (Louisa, Doris and Chandani) we have used and still use have eradicated our worries and have been so caring. Our mum is fed, kept active, has company, can stay at home due to InPlace Care! Even on sunny days Annette and her carers are seen walking the streets of Caulfield.”

You might also have the last say as David did,
“Seriously InPlace has been a lifesaver (in more ways than one)! Can't thank them enough!”
