Indoor Gardening – Bringing the Outside In
Horticulture therapy (or gardening with a therapeutic intention) has been shown to reduce agitation, depression and falls in people with dementia.
A new Home Care service InPlace Care has started in Melbourne utilizing University students studying health as a workforce providing a safe convenient service to those people living at home needing support.
As seen in many other cities around the world, competent students are being coordinated to offer a range of services to those who need it to live safely and happily in their own homes. The difference with InPlace Care being that Nursing Students are the front line workers and they are showing themselves to be passionate about being there for those who need their help.
Starting in early 2020 as a project between InPlace Care and Victoria University, the new business offers a workforce on an hourly basis with all selection, scheduling, reporting and invoicing done through an easy to use software application. Your family can rest easy tracking the carer through the service and reading the notes about the appointment. Care plans are built into the software, so the workers know what is expected of them during the appointment.
It all comes together for an easy solution, care being provided where you are in control and managing your service, that’s a great place to be.
