Indoor Gardening – Bringing the Outside In
Horticulture therapy (or gardening with a therapeutic intention) has been shown to reduce agitation, depression and falls in people with dementia.
A new business InPlace Care has started in Melbourne with the potential to support people to stay happy and healthy in their homes for longer.
The wellbeing of people growing old in their own homes is shown to be positively supported by an active social network and activity. This is now available with InPlace Care offering contracted workers to be available for a range of social, personal and lifestyle support needs.
All run on a smartphone and web application, the needs of the clients are transferred to the software and the workers complete tasks and services that are listed in the daily Care Plan.
Wellbeing improves when you have a focus on your mental health, your physical health and the ability to ask for support from others. InPlace Care provides the opportunity to support all these needs in a safe, friendly and well-managed program.
It all comes together for an improvement in your health with care being provided where you are in control, that’s a great place to be…
